Many insurers in the 1970s and 1980s would not insure new aspiring policyholders over the age 75 or 80. No longer.
Now insurers understand that many select seniors are less likely to speed, and their chances of seriously injuring other parties is less. If you look closely at prior accidents, violations and annual mileage, seniors may still qualify for cheaper rates if they take the following steps:
Find an insurer who will reduce your premiums in exchange for installing a dashboard monitor in your vehicle.
Always buckle to keep your medical cost down (seniors are more fragile).
Drive less mileage - which insurers will factor into your rate.
Plan your driving times - avoiding nights, rush hour, sunset and sunrise. Drive during the day - when your vision and traffic is best.
Take a driver education course (some carriers offer a discount)
Have your eyesight and hearing checked. Auto insurance premiums are not going to get any cheaper if you are in harms way because of deteriorating health.
Don't drive when you are using prescription drugs that can influence your vision and alertness.

"I found out our car insurance carrier charged us an annual *membership* fee and used the funds for political purposes we didn't agree with. None of your carriers charged any "fee" and we got a better deal!"

"We used your site to get several rates from competing companies. We saved money and already used the road support coverage. Very efficient, thanks." - Mickey Rosenstein, Washington State
